Flower Cloth Headband

Take old cloth headband.
Purchase fabric flowers from local craft store.(These were about $2)
Hand stitch flowers onto headband...And you have a cute accessory!!!

Umbrella Lampshade

I love the pattern on this old umbrella. Unfortunately, the umbrella was broken, so I skinned it and made it into a lampshade. Quite nice. AND cute!

Flower Bobby-pins

Purchase flowers from a craft store. I got these from Michaels.

Cut out a small circle with a slit from felt and hot glue it on the back of the flower.

Insert a bobby-pin through the felt slit.



Mirrors

step 1: find old mirrors you would like to add a fresh look to.

Step 2: Paint mirrors and add embellishments

I used acrylic paint as the base, and hot glued some Paris-themed buttons. Voila!

Materials
Wire Cable

I chose a thinner cable at 3/32 of an inch. They come in smaller and larger sizes. Choose one you like! This was 30 cents a foot at Home Depot. I bought 40 feet worth because I did 5, 8 foot long cable wire displays. (Actually I bought 45 feet worth just in case..hey measuring errors happen!)

Magnet

These are the strongest magnets made. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. They come in all sizes and are mostly circle shaped. These came in a pack of 10 at $1.95 a package. I also found these at Home Depot. I saw a few online sites to order these as well.

Ferrules

Make sure that the ferrules are the same size as your wire cable. For example my wire cable measured 3/32, so the ferrules must also be 3/32. Just double check before you buy them. These were about $2 a package. Find them at any local hardware store.


Screws, plastic anchors

I honestly just picked out ones I thought were big enough.. go with your gut? Found them at the local hardware store.

(Other misc items used: hammer, measuring tape, string, sticky tape, wire cutters, drill bit, drill)

Step 1:
Measure string and tape it to the wall how you would like to display the wire cables.


Step 2:
Cut wire cables and place ferrules on ends to make a loop.

Step 3:
Place plastic anchors and screw cable loop into wall. Repeat for the bottom of the cable so it is taut.

Step 4:
Place photos on cables with magnets. Keep these super strong magnets away from children.









Final look:Place photos as desired.

I chose to place the Cable and Magnet Photography Display over the stairs in my house. I love it! The great thing about this project is that you can re-arrange photos as desired. The largest photo recommended to display is a 8 x 10. Enjoy!
